Week 3 - June 16
Parents,
It is FLY WEEK! Unlike backstroke week, I don't recommend throwing everyone into the butterfly this week. However, if your swimmer already knew the butterfly or was close, go ahead and consider it for this Thursday. Also, Thousand Oaks is who we are hosting this week, and they are a large team. There is a strong possibility (depending on entries) that we will have to cut some relays to keep within our timeline. Just FYI.
This week's schedule looks like this:
Monday - Normal Practice, and we will teach the fundamental butterfly progression for those who have never done fly... and do turn work for all strokes.
Tuesday - Normal Practice, butterfly drill work, with some starts for all strokes.
Wednesday - Normal Practice, with some butterfly pace work and then finishes for all strokes.
Thursday - Normal practice in the morning, and then our Second Home meet that evening. Set Up begins at 4pm, we cannot be there earlier than 4, per the HOA, but please count on being there just after 4 to start setting up.
